So who are MoneySavers? For the ninth year running, rather than data mining, we reckon the politest way to find out is just to ask. Plus, we think you may like to find out a little bit more about who else uses this site (or more accurately, who uses this site and answers the polls).

Mobile phones are an essential part of everyday life for many, with streaming, gaming, social networking and more all increasingly done on data-hungry mobiles. According to a recent Ofcom report, the average person uses 5GB a month, however when we last ran this poll back in January, we found it to be around 3GB a month. We want to compare and see if this has also changed for you.

The hideous 80% increase in the energy price cap has, thankfully, been cancelled, and replaced by a new two-year energy price guarantee that'll take the typical bill to £2,500 a year. But everyone will still get £400 off their bills from October – though how this will work depends on how you pay for your gas and electricity. With so much happening with energy at the moment, we want you to tell us how you pay for your bills, as this'll help us with the campaigning work we're doing.

Buying new school uniform can be a costly exercise – especially if your child has to wear pricey branded items. In England, new rules have been introduced which now mean that schools must look at removing unnecessary branded items and allowing parents to buy from the high-street and supermarket own-label uniforms. So this week we want to know, does your child's school let you buy from supermarkets, or are you restricted to a specific shop? If you have more than one school-age child, please answer about your most recent experience.
