If you've booked a holiday and haven't sorted your travel insurance yet, do it NOW. Many leave it until the last minute, but if something happens that stops you going, you won't be able to get your money back, as MoneySavingExpert.com founder Martin Lewis warns in the latest episode of ITV's The Martin Lewis Money Show Live.

Most MoneySavers WON'T risk going on holiday abroad without travel insurance, a new MoneySavingExpert.com poll has found. However, those holidaying in the UK said they are less likely to take out an insurance policy. 

AXA Insurance UK will no longer sell own-brand overseas and UK travel insurance policies to new customers, the firm has announced. However, existing policyholders remain covered for the duration of their policy.

Holidaymakers from the UK will be banned from entering France from 00.01am on Saturday 18 December, whether they are vaccinated or not. Only those with a "compelling" reason will now be able to enter the country but this doesn't include travel for tourist or business reasons.

Nationwide has decided to axe its free European travel insurance offer for all existing FlexAccount  customers who still have it from 31 December. This follows its earlier decision to stop offering the perk to new FlexAccount customers back in December 2016.

Travellers returning to the UK from Italy, San Marino and Vatican City will have to self-isolate for 14 days from 4am on Sunday 18 October. 

European Health Insurance Cards (EHICs) issued in the UK will no longer feature the European symbol. But don't worry, they will still be accepted in participating countries until at least the end of 2020.
