Tougher action is needed to stop people being plagued by firms pushing them to make payment protection insurance (PPI) and personal injury claims, consumer campaigners said today.
Mobile giant Three must withdraw a "misleading" leaflet, which failed to include information stating that pay monthly mobile contracts could rise mid-term, the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) ruled this week.
Consumers who received recorded phone messages from Npower could get compensation after the regulator found the energy giant guilty of breaching rules.
