Switching between household utility suppliers should become quicker and easier under proposals unveiled by the Government in a bid to help millions of consumers save billions on bills.

TalkTalk customers will lose a 10% discount they currently enjoy for paying bills promptly, as the provider's axing its 'speedy payment discount' from 1 December.

Millions of Sky home phone and broadband customers will be hit with inflation busting price hikes from 1 December, the provider has revealed.
