Extra 30% off clearance clothes, shoes & accessories

🗓️ Predicted from Friday 20 November till Tuesday 1 December

Last year, second-hand retailer Thrift+ offered an extra 30% off clearance items when spending £15 or more. The sale included clothing, shoes, bags and accessories, with considerably more choice in the women's section. Before buying, compare prices with other second-hand marketplaces such as eBay and Vinted, and remember to factor in delivery costs.

Thrift+ extra 30% off clearance

Big discounts on second-hand clothing. Likely to boost

If you shop via online second-hand retailer Thrift+, you can get an extra 30% off over 89,000 clearance items when you use the code EXTRA30 at checkout, with a £15 minimum spend.

This deal ends at 11.59pm on Thursday 27 November, just in time for Black Friday – because of this, we predict it'll launch a stronger offer for Black Friday weekend.

Last year for Black Friday, Thrift+ offered 150,000 items for under £5, so it's likely we could see something similar this year.

The clearance includes clothing, shoes, bags, and other accessories such as scarves, so it could be a cheaper way to kit out for the colder months ahead. It's worth noting there are considerably more options in the women's section.

We saw these strong discounts when we checked on Friday 21 November:

When we checked, we spotted some brand-new items with tags, but do make sure to study the photos and make note of any listed imperfections.

Delivery is £3.50 for England and Wales, £5.95 for Scotland, or a steep £9.95 for Northern Ireland. If you want to return an item because you've changed your mind, or it doesn't fit, you have to pay for this yourself.

Thrift+ is popular with MoneySavers and has a Trustpilot rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 10,400+ reviews, with most positive reviews coming from people buying on the site. Thrift+ allows people to send in their unwanted clothes which it then sells for credits, but the deal we're featuring here is all about buying.

What condition are the items in?

Thrift+ says it checks the quality of each item and gives it an overall condition rating ('Good' for example) which you can see on the product page. If the item has issues, such as marks or loose threads, this will also be listed in the item description under 'Defects'.

However, don't assume that even with the sale that Thrift+ prices will be the best. Check other second-hand marketplaces such as Vinted and eBay* to make sure it's really a bargain before buying.

50% off preloved Zara, White Stuff & more clothing

Via Thrift+ code - works when spending £25 or more

Online second-hand retailer Thrift+ is offering 50% off if you're spending £25 or more – just enter the code 50MSE at the checkout by 11.59pm on Monday 25 August. It'll open up this deal to all from 12.01am on Friday 22 August via a different code, but we've blagged early access to the deal via our code so you can use it now and get first dibs on the preloved fashion.

Even without the code, you can still pick up some cheap clobber, as when we checked, items started at £2. We've spotted brands such as Zara, White Stuff and other high-street favourites, as well as 'designer' labels - examples we saw included DKNY, Barbour and Prada.

The site includes clothing, shoes, bags, and other accessories such as scarves, so it could be a cheaper way to kit out for the colder months ahead. It's worth noting there are considerably more options in the women's section than in the men's.

Free protection for all shopping!

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100. Known as Chargeback, this is part of banks' and card companies' internal rules and not a legal requirement. Read full details of Section 75 or Chargeback, plus how to claim, in our guides.
What the * means above
If a link has an * by it, that means it is an affiliated link and therefore it helps MoneySavingExpert stay free to use, as it is tracked to us. If you go through it, it can sometimes result in a payment or benefit to the site. It's worth noting this means the third party used may be named on any credit agreements.
You shouldn’t notice any difference and the link will never negatively impact the product. Plus the editorial line (the things we write) is NEVER impacted by these links. We aim to look at all available products. If it isn't possible to get an affiliate link for the top deal, it is still included in exactly the same way, just with a non-paying link.
