The deal ends at 11.59pm on Tuesday 21 April, or when 5,000 boxes have been redeemed, whichever is sooner. You get free next-day delivery on your first box (depending on availability and time of order), then delivery costs £3.99 from then on.

Important: You'll be automatically signed up to an ongoing subscription which you can skip, pause or cancel at any time. Your first month of boxes will be 50% off, then your second month of boxes will be 25% off – but you can stop the subscription at any point. After the two months, any subsequent boxes will be charged at full-price, unless you cancel. Your discount is valid for two months from the date of sign up.

How good is this deal?

MSE Olivia says: "Based on two people, we found you could get a five-meal box for £23 with our code – that's £2.33 per serving. This offer is the strongest we've seen if you want to try a Gousto subscription for a few weeks. We've spotted it's offering a refer-a-friend promotion which gets '65% off your first box, 40% off your second, then 25% off your third to eighth box' – our deal works out cheaper if you want to order three or more boxes, but if you know you're likely to just order one or two boxes, you may be better off going with a larger first-box discount."

What do you get in a box?

Each box contains recipe instructions and pre-portioned ingredients for two to five meals that'll feed one to five people. You can pick from over 175 recipes that change weekly, such as stews, pasta, and curries.

If you continue after the first box and you forget to choose recipes for your next box by the deadline, Gousto automatically chooses for you based on your previous picks. Some recipes (marked with an additional charge, such as '+£2 a serving') and marketplace items (such as wine, desserts and honey) cost extra and aren't included in our discount code. If you add those to you order it will incur a surcharge.

How to cancel your subscription

If you want to cancel or skip a box, Gousto says you'll need to do it online or in the Gousto app via your account by midday, three days before your next delivery day – you can check this in your online profile. For example, if your next delivery is scheduled for a Friday, you'd need to cancel by midday on Tuesday.
