Limited time offer

Normally £22

Louvel Fontaine Champagne Brut is currently £10 (normally £22) a bottle in-store and online at Asda. It hasn't given us an end date for the offer, so go quick if it's something you want.

Of course, if you're doing an online order, you'll need to factor in the minimum spend and delivery charge.

Available all year. Online and in stores

You can get school uniform items (ages 3-18) from £3 at Asda, both online and in stores. If you're buying online, standard delivery's from £3.75. Click and collect from a store (find your nearest) is free. Stock for the cheapest items is starting to run very low, so there's no guarantee you'll be able to get what you're after.

What can you get?

Prices change depending on size. We noticed that a lot of sizes are sold out online. If George at Asda doesn't have the size you need available to order, try visiting a store instead. Alternatively, there are other similar items available online, but you may pay more for them.

No minimum spend required

Kids aged 16 or under can eat for £1 when dining in at any Asda café (find your nearest). There's no minimum spend or purchase required, and this deal is valid all day, seven days a week.

Asda told us there's a maximum of one meal per child, per day. The kids' menu includes dishes such as fish fingers, all-day breakfast and chicken nuggets which would normally cost £3.20. Kids can choose from either a hot or cold meal, and now all meals come with a piece of fruit.

For babies under 18 months, you can get one 70g free pouch of Ella’s Kitchen baby food as part of this deal.

A dozen red roses from £3.45

Our round-up of prices at major supermarkets

Over-commercialised spending is one of our bugbears – you should never feel the pressure to buy stuff just because the calendar tells you it's Valentine's Day.

If you are planning to mark it with red roses though, make sure you're not paying over the odds. Bunches of 12 start from £3.45 at supermarkets, and stores have engaged in a 'war of the roses', with Aldi, Lidl and Morrisons currently battling it out to take the crown.

Expect short-stemmed standard roses – we've not included any premium ranges. The cost of roses can shoot up if they are long-stemmed, or ethically/locally sourced. If you want more bang for your buck, consider alternatives such as tulips.

How to jazz up a £4/£5 bunch

With a bit of creative flair, you can make a £4/£5 bunch of supermarket roses look a lot pricier for next to nothing. Wrap them in some attractive paper (no need to spend more than £1), attach a self-penned poem (get some inspiration from Google or ChatGPT) and you're sure to be in your loved one's good books.

Free protection for all shopping!

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100. Known as Chargeback, this is part of banks' and card companies' internal rules and not a legal requirement. Read full details of Section 75 or Chargeback, plus how to claim, in our guides.
What the * means above
If a link has an * by it, that means it is an affiliated link and therefore it helps MoneySavingExpert stay free to use, as it is tracked to us. If you go through it, it can sometimes result in a payment or benefit to the site. It's worth noting this means the third party used may be named on any credit agreements.
You shouldn’t notice any difference and the link will never negatively impact the product. Plus the editorial line (the things we write) is NEVER impacted by these links. We aim to look at all available products. If it isn't possible to get an affiliate link for the top deal, it is still included in exactly the same way, just with a non-paying link.
