Utilities Analyst

Ruby joined MSE with an English literature degree and started working for the Energy & Utilities team in March 2024. Before joining MSE, Ruby gained a year's experience working as an editorial assistant for British environmental magazine The Ecologist.

Now as a Utilities Analyst at MSE, Ruby continues to keep an eye out for all things sustainable. Since joining MSE, she has written several guides helping readers with their mobile and broadband, as well as a phone theft protection guide to help raise awareness of the issue of phone-snatching and what to do to protect yourself.

Ruby has worked across teams, covering news stories on mobile provider contract issues, as well as using search engine optimisation techniques to help users find our content more easily.

Outside of work, Ruby loves to travel, whether by walking, running, rowing or cycling, especially if it involves good coffee and new foods to try, which she can then attempt to replicate at home.
