A few of this week's top threads
These are some of the Forum discussions that caught our eye this week:
-
What would you choose for a garden path - Tarmac or paving stones?
-
Any recommendations for a mini washing machine that doesn't need to be plumbed in?
-
Have you flown from an airport where the liquid limit has been raised?
-
I was surprised by how quickly my probate application was turned around
-
I bought a Jurassic Park toy that’s not in the actual film – what are my rights?
Money Moral Dilemma
Every week, the Money Tips email features a real-life Money Moral Dilemma (MMD for short). They're intended to encourage debate and, as such, they're usually among the most discussed threads each week.
Should my husband ask if he can use his loyalty app on other people's shopping?
My husband recently asked whether it would be OK for him to ask other people whether he can scan his loyalty app on their shopping to get extra points, if they don't appear to be doing so. I think this would be mortifyingly rude and not likely to get a positive response. What do other people think?

Photo of the week
Forumite Rosa_Damascena went on a lunchtime trip to their local charity shops and returned with this haul: "I ... bought the following for the sum total of £1.40 (4 for £1 in one shop, 10p each in the other)". Share your bargains from charity shops and boot sales in our popular ongoing thread.

Please note: We love seeing your photos in the MSE Forum, but if you're uploading one, make sure it doesn't include any personally-identifiable information such as your face or address.
Latest comping wins
Two big wins to report this week: swatmough picked up a £1,000 Asda gift card, whilst Eas is celebrating winning an e-bike and outdoor clothing bundle with a stated value of more than £4,000. As they said: "I found out at the beginning of July, the clothing bundle arrived late July, and the bike arrived today. Haven't ridden it yet but I'm very excited. This is my most expensive physical win so far." Could you be one of the next winners to feature in this blog? Check out Competitions Time.
Your two cents
It's National Potato Day this week. If you've got a surfeit of spuds, then the Forum can help. For help growing your own potatoes, then our Gardening board is the place to seek and share wisdom.
