How it works

Tick

We're whole of market by default

That means we show all tariffs automatically. Other sites hide those that don't pay them, so you get a limited choice.

House

We breakdown the Price Cap predictions

80% of UK homes are on the Price Cap. It changes every three months, so we try and incorporate that into our comparison.

Pound

We give you cashback if we can switch you

If we get paid to switch you we give you a chunk of this. That way rather than hiding tariffs we don't have links to, we make the ones we have links to cheaper.

Cheap Energy Club FAQs

You can register on the Cheap Energy Club registration page. The first page sets up your MSE (MoneySavingExpert) Account, then we will ask for some details about your current energy supply.

Once this is done, you can do a full market comparison and switch.

Some suppliers pay comparison sites for switches. We give a chunk of what we're paid to YOU as cashback. The rest pays to keep the site running.

We will always compare and show you the whole of market, even if it doesn't make us money. But we won't be able to switch you to a provider we don't have a relationship with.

Yes. Cheap Energy Club is completely free to use.

All you need is a recent energy bill, so you know how much energy you're currently using for an accurate comparison. But don't worry if you don't have one handy – we can help you estimate, though savings won't be as accurate.

When switching, your new supplier will handle any issues. For anything else, it's your current provider. If you're struggling to get a switching issue resolved, get in touch and we may be able to help.
