Marcus Herbert appointed as MoneySavingExpert.com Editor-in-Chief
The UK’s biggest consumer website, MoneySavingExpert.com (MSE) welcomes Marcus Herbert as its new Editor-in-Chief – taking up the role from the 17th of September 2018.
Marcus joins from the BBC, where he’s most recently been working on digital strategy for the Director General’s office. Prior to that he was Head of Online at BBC Scotland. His broadcast credits include Assistant Editor of Newsnight, and postings at the BBC’s Moscow, Washington and New York bureaux. Also a former Commissioning Editor and Executive Producer for BBC Science programmes, Marcus has been responsible for award-winning shows such as Afterlife, Planet Ant and Supermarket Secrets.
Taking over the position of Editor-in-Chief from Jason Mills (who left in June to take up a new role in Switzerland), the role will continue to report directly to MSE’s Founder and Executive Chairman, Martin Lewis. Marcus will lead on all content and editorial at MoneySavingExpert.com.

Marcus will work alongside the site’s Managing Director Andy Hancock, and will be supported jointly by MSE’s Deputy Editor Guy Anker and Head of Campaigns and PR, Kirsty Good.
