Amazon has shelved plans to stop people using Visa credit cards to buy items on the shopping platform from 19 January. It means users no longer need to update their payment details, although they can continue to do so in order to be awarded free credit.

Pret a Manger (Pret) is increasing the price of its monthly drinks subscription by 25%. New subscribers signing up from today (3 February) will be charged £25 a month, up from £20 a month. Existing subscribers will see the same increase from their first billing date on or after 16 March.

Tesco Bank's new 'Clubcard Pay+' prepaid debit card is now available to all 20 million Clubcard holders. You can double your Clubcard points for three months after taking the card out and it offers features to help you budget, but it can't be used in the same way as a full current account.

However, shoppers hoping to grab a bargain in the traditional Boxing Day sales can still do so with some shops starting in-store sales from 27 December and others launching online sales from 24 December instead.
