NatWest is scrapping fees for spending abroad on select credit and debit cards until 2 September. This is good news for existing NatWest customers, but if you’re willing to switch there are better offers out there for fee-free holiday spending.

Three's £2 a day roaming charges come into effect from today (Monday 23 May) for holidaymakers who wish to use their normal monthly allowance in Europe. The change will affect new and upgrading pay-monthly and Sim-only customers.

Passengers could cut their flight costs by 9% if they chose to travel on a Friday, research conducted by Skyscanner suggests. The travel company also found that Milan is best value destination to fly to this year, with flight costs now more than 60% lower than before the pandemic.

EE is to start charging new and upgrading customers a flat £2/day roaming fee to use their monthly allowance in Europe from March 2022. The mobile company had said the fee would begin in January but this has been pushed back by two months, meaning rival Vodafone will become the first to enact a roaming fee from the start of next year.

But Halifax and Virgin Money card holders with upcoming Christmas trips should check if action is needed to keep their accounts open as the lenders will cancel inactive overseas cards.

A MoneySaver has been awarded about £300 after successfully arguing in the small claims court he should have been given a cash refund instead of vouchers for British Airways flights cancelled due to Covid-19. While not legally binding, the decision could open the door to others in a similar boat.
