Asda has today launched an energy switching comparison service, which gives a £20 giftcard to spend at the store if you switch to a new gas and electricity provider.
The average household energy bill will become unaffordable if pricing trends continue, leaving the vulnerable forced to turn off their heating, research from comparison site uSwitch.com reveals.
EDF, Npower and Scottish Power have refused to state whether they are likely to raise gas and electricity prices this year, following today's decision by Eon to freeze bills for the rest of 2012.
