Martin Lewis: How to get £1,000s free towards your first home
The Chancellor Jeremy Hunt has hinted help could be on the way for first-time buyers who face losing £1,000s of their own savings when withdrawing funds from Lifetime ISAs (LISAs) to buy homes above the scheme's property price limit. MoneySavingExpert.com (MSE) founder Martin Lewis challenged Mr Hunt over the issue during an interview in the latest episode of ITV's The Martin Lewis Money Show Live.

Buy now, pay later (BNPL) regulation has not been shelved, Chancellor Jeremy Hunt claimed in an interview with MoneySavingExpert.com founder Martin Lewis this week. However, the Government is being careful not to be too "heavy-handed" in its approach to regulating the industry, Mr Hunt said.

Autumn Statement: Workers to pay less in national insurance – but rate cuts don't offset the freezing of personal tax thresholds.
Both employees and self-employed workers will pay less in national insurance from next year, Chancellor Jeremy Hunt has announced in today's Autumn Statement. Around 29 million workers are expected to benefit, though for many the rate cuts don't offset freezes to personal tax thresholds, which determine when you start paying each tax. Below is everything you need to know.

Tax-free pension limits raised
The maximum annual tax-free amount you can save into a pension once you've taken money out of it will rise from £4,000 to £10,000 from 6 April. Meanwhile, the amount you can save into your pension tax-free each year is also set to rise, as is the amount you can save into pensions over a lifetime. The shake-up was announced by the Chancellor Jeremy Hunt in today's Budget.
