With free cash machines disappearing, there's a handy tool to let you find nearby ATMs where you can withdraw cash for free – and it'll now also show you thousands of Post Office branches where you can take cash out over the counter.

Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks, as well as app-based bank B, will all be rebranded as Virgin Money by the end of 2021.

Coventry Building Society is to withdraw debit cards from more than 30,000 customers using its MoneyManager savings accounts in September – and some will also lose overdraft facilities.

Digital prepaid card provider Loot has gone into administration – and if you're a customer, your cash isn't protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. Yet the firm's administrators have insisted all deposits are safe, and customers are currently able to withdraw cash as normal.
