If you've been banking Papa Johns loyalty points, known as 'Papa Dough', redeem them NOW to get the most bang for your buck. The takeaway pizza chain is reducing the value of its rewards from Friday 16 September – so you'll need to spend more in points to earn the same 'freebies' in future.

You'll get less 'Papa Dough' for the same spend

Currently, you earn one point for every £1 spent at Papa Johns – which isn't changing.

Every 20 points you earn is then automatically converted into £3 of 'Papa Dough' to spend on pizza and selected sides, desserts and drinks. This can then be redeemed in £1 increments.

However, from 16 September, points will be converted at a rate of 10 points into £1. This means the same 20 points will be worth just £2. We've illustrated this using some examples in the table below:

Papa Johns rewards changes

Example menu item

Price (1)

Current loyalty spend (2)

Loyalty spend from 16 September (2)

Garlic Cheese Papa Bites

£6.39

40pts = £40

60 pts = £60 20pts or £20 more

Margherita Pizza (Medium)

£21.99

140pts = £140

210 pts = £210 – 70pts or £70 more

2 Medium Pizzas, 2 Sides & Dessert

£33

220pts = £220

330 pts = £330 – 110pts or £110 more

(1) Prices correct as of 11 September 2026 based at a branch in South East London. Price can vary by location. (2) Points and £s rounded down to the nearest £1 (any monetary difference would need to be paid on top).

We've asked Papa Johns what will happen to rewards balances of 19 points and under from 16 September and we'll update this story when we know more.

How to redeem your 'Papa Dough'

Your Papa Rewards points automatically convert into 'Papa Dough' once you reach the required threshold. You can then choose to use your 'Papa Dough' as a discount when paying for an order through the website or app.

For delivery orders, you'll still need to meet any minimum spend before the discount is applied.

You CAN'T redeem 'Papa Dough' in-store – it can only be used on orders made through the Papa Johns website or app.

Reward Points and Papa Dough are valid for six months from the date of your last earning or redemption activity.
