If you're submitting a paper version of the self-assessment tax return, the deadline to file is just days away, on 31 October. And if the tax office receives it later than Monday you will liable for a £100 fine.

The Prime Minister today (19 October) said she was "completely committed" to the triple lock, meaning millions of people claiming the state pension could receive a 10.1% increase in payments from April.
