The UK housing market suffered a major jolt today as figures from Halifax revealed prices slumped 3.6% in September – the biggest monthly drop since figures were first compiled in 1983.
The Government has ruled out tightening the regulation of currency firms despite the failure of Crown Currency Exchange, which has left 13,000 consumers fearing for millions of pounds of missing cash.
Treasury financial secretary Mark Hoban has denied claims the Government is considering reducing tax incentives on Isas in the upcoming spending review.
