MSE Blagged

Valid on ground coffee, beans, pods & more

Here's a way to save a latte on your coffee... We've brewed up a deal that'll get you 30% off online at coffee company Grind* when you enter the MSE Blagged code MSEFEB30 at the checkout by 11.59pm on Monday 23 February.

This is the strongest site-wide Grind code we see, and it only does it a few times a year. It'll work on everything except for coffee/gift subscriptions, gift cards, the Grind Two pod machine, and the Sage x Grind machine.

If you're after the Grind x Peanuts collection*, you can get 50% off using the code MSEPEANUTS – both discount codes can be used on the same order.

Delivery's £3.95, or free if you're spending £30 or more.

What is Grind? It's an independent coffee company, which launched in 2011. Grind says it's environmentally conscious, and all of its packaging is recyclable. Grind is stocked in stores such as Waitrose, Tesco, Ocado, and Amazon. When we checked on Monday 16 February, it had a 4.3/5 score at Trustpilot, from over 12,300 reviews.

Normally from £21. Keep your existing frames and just replace the lenses

If you go online to reglazing site Lensology*, you can get £10 off, plus 95p off delivery, when you enter the MSE Blagged code MSE10 at checkout by 11.59pm on Saturday 28 February. This means you can get your glasses reglazed and delivered for as cheap as £10 (£6 for basic lenses, plus £4 for delivery).

What is Lensology? If you've a pair of specs you're fond of, but need new lenses, it can just replace the old lenses and fit new ones into your existing frames. For example, you may want to do this if your lenses are scratched, or to give you better features such as blue-light protection, anti-glare, UV protection, or thinner lenses. It saves you buying a totally new pair of glasses, and is an environmentally friendly choice.

The cheapest option to reglaze to standard 'no frills' 1.5 uncoated lenses is usually £16, plus £4.95 delivery, so with our code that makes it £10 delivered. This is the most basic option which can be glazed as everyday lenses, reading lenses, or as an intermediate prescription. These are only recommended for prescriptions with sphere powers up to +/- 3.00.

Of course, you'll need to consider your needs and prescription, so factor in these additional costs if your reason for reglazing frames goes beyond this basic option. For example, other options such as single vision sunglasses cost from £32 (so £22 with our code), bifocal lenses cost from £35 (or £25 with our code) and varifocal lenses cost from £54 (£44 with our code) – see a breakdown of Lensology's pricing*. The code applies to all items, excluding accessories.

Production times will vary depending on the type of lenses you choose:

  • Stock lenses: five to seven working days

  • Custom lenses: five to 10 working days

See full Lensology production time info*.

Delivery normally costs from £4.95 via Royal Mail, but our code makes it £4 when selecting the 'Tracked 48 Royal Mail' option.

How to order with Lensology... Choose your lens options and place the order online before sending your glasses. Once you’ve completed your order, Lensology will send a separate form for confirming prescription details. It will also post you a pack to send your glasses in – you don't pay to send your glasses in, you only pay for delivery to have them returned to you.

  • Hair Density Serum (30ml) – normally £13

  • Calming Moisture Gel (50ml) – normally £12

MSE Blagged

Includes designer brands such as Gucci, Tom Ford & Prada

Go online to Vision Express* and you can get 25% off contact lenses, glasses and prescription sunglasses when entering the MSE Blagged code AFFMSE25 at checkout by 11.59pm on Sunday 1 March.

Contact lenses – there are some limits on how many you can buy with the code

This depends on the type, as follows:

  • Bi-weekly or monthly lenses: Eight packs

  • Daily: 20 packs

  • Multifocal, varifocal, or Toric for astigmatism: 24 packs

Glasses – the code only works when ordering frames and lenses together, not just frames alone

The cheapest included glasses are Vision Express' own-brand, Seen, starting from £45 before the code, £33.75 after (cheaper glasses aren't included – see exclusions below).

The code also works on most designer frames, including Gucci, Tom Ford, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Ralph Lauren, Tiffany & Co, and Prada – of course, these brands aren't MoneySaving, but if you're going to buy a designer brand anyway, 25% off is a decent saving.

Be aware that extra lens options such as coatings or thinner lenses will add to your cost. For example, adding 'Standard anti-reflection' is £40 before the code, while thinner lenses range from £70 to £180 extra. When we checked, basic 'Standard' lenses were included in the price of the frames, so this is the cheapest option to choose.

There's no limit on how many pairs of glasses or sunglasses you can buy with this code.

Delivery's £3, or free for orders over £35

Vision Express says delivery should take 3-5 working days for contact lenses and prescription glasses (pending prescription validation), or 7-10 working days for prescription sunglasses or if you've selected glasses with a lens add-on. You'll need to either add your prescription at the time you choose your frames, or email it in.

Exclusions

The 25% off isn't valid alongside any other codes or offers (including outlet or sale) and excludes £15 sunglasses, £25 glasses, and Ray-Ban Meta or Oakley Meta glasses or sunglasses.

Always compare prices elsewhere to make sure you're getting the best deal. See our full round-up of glasses deals.

Via MSE Blagged code and link

If you've been eye-ing up AllSaints prescription specs or sunnies, you can get a pair for £39 delivered (normally £145), when using the MSE Blagged code MSE39AS via our SpeckyFourEyes* link. The code's valid until 11.59pm on Saturday 28 February.

The code only works on the AllSaints items found via our link, and you'll need to enter the code in the vouchers box on the 'Shopping cart - summary' page once you've chosen your frames and lenses.

Need-to-knows for getting the cheapest price

  • To get them cheapest, pick 'continue with free lenses' when asked to choose your lens package (stage five of the checkout process), as thinner or scratch-resistant lenses will cost £15 to £150 extra. To avoid other extras and keep costs down, select 'skip step & continue' until you reach the checkout.

  • You can enter your prescription during the checkout process, or opt to send it later. Some frames aren't suitable for high prescriptions, so keep an eye out when choosing. Do note that only standard lenses are included in the price – you'll pay extra for bifocal or thin lenses.

  • Select 'Royal Mail Standard' delivery – our code will make this delivery option free (normally £6.99).

See 'More info' below for full T&Cs. If you need to contact SpeckyFourEyes about your order, you can do so via this special contact page*.

MSE Georgia-May says:

It's tricky to compare prices for these exact frames, as many of them are end-of-line and aren't sold elsewhere – but I reckon £39 all-in for a pair of branded prescription specs or sunglasses is pretty decent. They're normally £145 at SpeckyFourEyes, and when I checked on Monday 8 December, I found some for up to £180 at Boots.

SpeckyFourEyes may not always be cheapest, so do your own price comparison before buying. As ever, with branded items in particular, be sure to check reviews if it's a retailer you've not heard of.

See our Cheap Glasses page for other deals on specs.

More info

You can use the code more than once but you can only use one code per item, per transaction – so you'll need to make multiple transactions if you want more than one pair. The code gets you free delivery (normally £6.99) and takes 7-20 working days.

SpeckyFourEyes says there are good stock levels available, but all frames are subject to availability, so they could still sell out fast if demand is high.

Free protection for all shopping!

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100. Known as Chargeback, this is part of banks' and card companies' internal rules and not a legal requirement. Read full details of Section 75 or Chargeback, plus how to claim, in our guides.
What the * means above
If a link has an * by it, that means it is an affiliated link and therefore it helps MoneySavingExpert stay free to use, as it is tracked to us. If you go through it, it can sometimes result in a payment or benefit to the site. It's worth noting this means the third party used may be named on any credit agreements.
You shouldn’t notice any difference and the link will never negatively impact the product. Plus the editorial line (the things we write) is NEVER impacted by these links. We aim to look at all available products. If it isn't possible to get an affiliate link for the top deal, it is still included in exactly the same way, just with a non-paying link.
