We spotted £50, £75 and £100 off

Travel company P&O Cruises' Black Friday sale has started, offering 'up to £300' off per cabin until Tuesday 2 December, on selected 2026 and 2027 sailings.

While its website states its offering ‘up to £300 off’ per cabin, the biggest price reduction we spotted so far was £175 off its Epic World Explorer sailing (the 106-night roundtrip, costs a hefty £16,824 per person).

The bulk of the discounts we spotted were £50, £75 and £100 off per cabin.

Here are some examples we saw on Friday 28 November:

Roundtrip seven-night Spain and France sailing from Southampton, from £474 per person in January. Reduced from £549
Roundtrip seven-night Canary Islands and Madeira Fly-Cruise sailing from Tenerife, from £579 per person in December. Reduced from £629
Roundtrip seven-night sailing from Southampton to the Norwegian Fjords, from £729 per person in May. Reduced from £779
Roundtrip seven-night Western Mediterranean Fly-Cruise from Valetta, Malta, from £704 per person in September. Reduced from £779
15-night Caribbean transatlantic sailing from Bridgetown Barbados to Southampton, from £1,104 per person in March. Reduced from £1,179

Important: Don’t allow yourself to be taken in by the hype around Black Friday and be sucked into buying something you don’t need or can’t afford. Always do your own price comparisons to ensure you are getting the best deal possible.

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100.
