1 Current Deal

For 2026 performances

50+ shows including Back to the Future, The Lion King, Wicked & more

This popular annual deal is back... Theatre lovers can get £10 to £60 tickets for 50+ London West End shows, including many biggies such as Back to the Future, Disney's The Lion King, Les Misérables, Wicked, and Mamma Mia! via the Official London Theatre Sale – see 'More info' below for the full list of participating shows.

Official London Theatre says it's for selected performances in 2026, with the majority taking place from January to March. There are no booking or postage fees.

Tickets are for matinée, evening, and some weekend performances, though the discounted tickets are spread randomly across all dates. Discounted tickets are limited per performance, so it could be pot luck finding the show you want on a particular date. The sale launched for all on Tuesday 25 November, and popular shows and seats can get snapped up quickly.

Seats are discounted based on their price tier, so the amount of saving on the normal price will vary per show and per seat. £10 tickets will usually be the cheapest normal-priced seats, and £60 tickets will be the top-priced (non-premium) seats. Though do note, not all shows offer the cheapest £10 tickets.

For other ways to save at the theatre, see our Cheap theatre tickets guide.

Kids go 'free' to 40+ West End shows

With a paying adult. Including hits such as Wicked, Starlight Express & Mamma Mia!

The popular 'Kids Week' theatre promotion is back. You can nab a free child ticket (for children aged 17 and under) to 40+ London theatre shows with the purchase of a full-priced adult ticket from the Official London Theatre's Kids Week website. It's for selected performances from Monday 21 July until Sunday 31 August, while tickets last.

Shows include Wicked, Starlight Express, Mamma Mia!, The Play That Goes Wrong and more – see 'More info' below for the full list of 40+ shows.

The promotion began on Tuesday 10 June, and popular shows and seats can sell out fast, so it's best to book earlier than later if it's something you want.

Kids Week need-to-knows

During the booking process, tickets will appear at their half-price cost on the seating plan – this is the same deal as one full-price paying adult and one free child.

If you're bringing more than one child, the first child ticket is free and then you can get 50% off for a maximum of two more children per adult. Savings can be up to £90 depending on which shows and seats are selected – and there are no booking or postage fees.

It's not every performance of every show – some exclude their most popular performances, such as matinees or weekends. Tickets are distributed randomly across all dates, shows and seat prices, so it helps to be flexible in your choice.

During the booking process you'll get to see which seats are available. You can book a maximum of 10 tickets per show (one free child per paying adult, up to a maximum of five adults). If you can't find the tickets you want, it's worth checking back at a later date – in past years we've seen some shows increase their allocation of tickets as time goes on.

Today Tix Black Friday West End sale

Eg, The Mousetrap from £15

Ticketing platform TodayTix has launched its Black Friday sale, offering discounts on more than 50 London West End shows. You can book tickets at the TodayTix website or via its free app.  We've asked TodayTix when the sale ends and will update here once we know.

Examples of top shows & discounts we spotted on Friday 29 November:

  • Fawlty Towers the Play – from £15 (joint cheapest we've seen with London Theatre)

  • A Very Naughty Christmas – from £15 (joint cheapest we've seen with London Theatre)

  • The Mousetrap – from £15 (joint cheapest we've seen with London Theatre)

  • Why Am I So Single? – £23 (joint cheapest we've seen with Official London Theatre)

  • The Play That Goes Wrong – from £23 (cheapest we've seen)

  • MJ the Musical – from £23 (cheapest we've seen)

The prices above were the cheapest we saw for these shows, though many were matched by London Theatre's Black Friday sale, or other ticketing platforms. We found that some of the other discounted shows were cheaper elsewhere. For example, Peppa Pig's Fun Day Out tickets are from £13 with TodayTix but from £10 direct with Theatre Royal Haymarket.

Free protection for all shopping!

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100. Known as Chargeback, this is part of banks' and card companies' internal rules and not a legal requirement. Read full details of Section 75 or Chargeback, plus how to claim, in our guides.
