Important: Don’t allow yourself to be taken in by the hype around Black Friday and be sucked into buying something you don’t need or can’t afford. Always do your own price comparisons to ensure you are getting the best deal possible – don’t just take a retailer’s word for it.

£90 Kärcher WV 5 Plus window vac for £48 via code*

6,000 available. Cheapest we've ever seen it

Update: Kärcher has decided to extend the deal by a week. It was originally due to end on Sunday 12 October, but will now finish at 11.59pm on Sunday 19 October.

If you're feeling washed out looking for a good cleaning deal, this might make you sparkle... You can get the WV 5 Plus window vac* for £47.98 instead of £89.99 when you enter the MSE Blagged code MSEWV5 online at Kärcher*.

This deal is on until 11.59pm on Sunday 19 October or until all 6,000 units are sold, whichever's first. Delivery's free with our code (normally £2.95), and Kärcher says it should take about three working days.

Window vacuums can be good for removing condensation from windows, mirrors and shower screens.

The WV 5 Plus window vac has a three-year warranty (two-years as standard, plus an extra year guarantee automatically when buying directly from Kärcher).

How good is this deal?

Our code makes this the cheapest we've ever seen this model. The next cheapest we've ever seen it was £53.99 at Kärcher last year, and the next cheapest price currently is £70 at Amazon.

With Amazon's 'Big Deal Days' sale now on, there are currently some decent Kärcher window vac deals around, particularly the WV 2 Plus N* for £44.99 (was £79.99). It was a bit cheaper in November last year at £43.99, but it could be a good alternative to our deal if you don't need the extra features. The WV 5 Plus has a quicker charging time and comes with a 'premium' spray bottle with microfibre cloth, whereas the WV 2 Plus N comes with an additional narrow nozzle.

A cheaper alternative to buying brand-new is sometimes to look at refurbished items – either on specialist refurbished sites, or via an eBay outlet.

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100. Known as Chargeback, this is part of banks' and card companies' internal rules and not a legal requirement. Read full details of Section 75 or Chargeback, plus how to claim, in our guides.
What the * means above
If a link has an * by it, that means it is an affiliated link and therefore it helps MoneySavingExpert stay free to use, as it is tracked to us. If you go through it, it can sometimes result in a payment or benefit to the site. It's worth noting this means the third party used may be named on any credit agreements.
You shouldn’t notice any difference and the link will never negatively impact the product. Plus the editorial line (the things we write) is NEVER impacted by these links. We aim to look at all available products. If it isn't possible to get an affiliate link for the top deal, it is still included in exactly the same way, just with a non-paying link.
