There are always ways to save money at Hi-Tec*, so even if there isn't a cracking deal out there that works for you, don't assume you can't cut your costs further.

Ways to save include:

Check the outlet section. You may be able to save by buying from Hi-Tec's outlet*, where you can often find big discounts on clothing and footwear.
Free returns via Collect+. You can avoid paying to return your items by taking them to your nearest Collect+ store free of charge (find your nearest). There are 5,800 stores nationwide.
Find Hi-Tec clothing cheaper elsewhere. You can sometimes find Hi-Tec's footwear and clothing cheaper at other retailers (including Amazon*), so always compare prices before you buy.
Check similar retailers. If you're not committed to buying Hi-Tec products, check for footwear deals from other retailers such as Office and Soletrader Outlet.

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100.
