Including extra data, 20% off for family, plus priority phone repair

If you register online at EE* with your NHS email address, or NHS photo ID card, you'll receive a code for 20% off your monthly airtime plan when you take out a Flex Pay or 12 or 24-month SIM only plan. You'll also be able to extend the benefit to up to four of your friends and family.

If you run out of data, this offer also gives you free unlimited data at a reduced speed of 2Mbps so you'll still be able to access the internet, albeit at a slower speed.

If your phone breaks, it also allows priority phone repair, which EE says will take up to seven days (and could even take 'as little as one day') instead of the usual up to 14 days to repair. See EE help pages, or full T&Cs for more information.

Important: Do check that the offer you sign up for is the most suitable, and cheapest offer for you – don't take EE's word for it that even with the 20% off it will be the best offer. See our Cheap Mobile Finder to compare deals before you buy.

Smartwatch Black Friday deals

Deals on Samsung, Fitbit, Google Pixel and more

There are some good deals available on smartwatches at many retailers with both top of the range as well as more basic models seeing discounts.

When we looked on Tuesday 25 November, we found that EE were offering most of the best prices but products were often price matched with other retailers. Therefore, it is worth checking to see if there are any other perks available when buying to help you make your mind up.

For example, Currys are offering two months free Apple Music, Apple Fitness+ and Apple Arcade with some smartwatches and also have a £50 off tech recycling scheme available on some models.

Here are some of the best smartwatch deals we spotted on Tuesday 25 November:

Samsung:

Google Pixel:

Fitbit:

Garmin:

As we get closer to Black Friday weekend, we'll update this page with the best deals as they come in.

Important: Don’t allow yourself to be taken in by the hype around Black Friday and be sucked into buying something you don’t need or can’t afford. Always do your own price comparisons to ensure you are getting the best deal possible – don’t just take a retailer’s word for it.

47% off Google Pixel Watch 3 - makes it £200*

45mm 4G version. Lowest ever price for Google's flagship smartwatch

In an early frontrunner for a 'Best of Black Friday' deal, EE Tech & Gaming has slashed the price of the Google Pixel Watch 3 (the priciest 45mm, 4G model) to £199.99*.

That's not only nearly 50% off the £379 RRP, and £100 less than the next best deal for this version of Google's flagship watch, but £20 cheaper than any deal we could find for the cheapest variant of this watch (which has a smaller screen at 41mm, and isn't 4G).

On the page, remember to click '45mm', as the default option is the 41mm version (which, bizarrely, is more expensive than the 45mm one).

Google Pixel Watch 3 tech specs

Display

1.4″ LTPO AMOLED, resolution 456 × 456 pixels, peak brightness ~2000 nits

Up to 24 hours 'always on' screen, up to 36 hours in Battery Saver

Water/dust resistance

If you're shopping around for a cheaper deal, good luck! Just remember that this is the 4G/LTE and 45mm version, which is usually the most expensive.

Next best discount: £299 at Amazon, £299 at Google

MSE Rob says:

For me as the resident tech-head, this is the first truly noteworthy tech deal of the month-long event that is Black Friday. It beats other Pixel Watch 3 deals (so far) by a wide margin.

To be clear, this is the most expensive variant of the Pixel Watch 3 (4G and larger 45mm display), and it's currently selling for cheaper than any other variant. And when comparing prices, make sure you're comparing like for like and not with the smaller 41mm and/or Wi-Fi variants.

The Pixel Watch 3 is Google's flagship smartwatch, and widely regarded as one of the best on the market, with Fitbit integration, a bit bright screen, and responsive monitoring of your heart rate, blood oxygen, and other body responses.

This will be hard to beat.

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100. Known as Chargeback, this is part of banks' and card companies' internal rules and not a legal requirement. Read full details of Section 75 or Chargeback, plus how to claim, in our guides.
