Sale strength: In comparison to its recent Black Friday sale, return fares between the UK and destinations in America (including New York and Los Angeles) are ever so slightly cheaper.

Similarly, its weekend European city breaks to Barcelona, Nice and Venice, which are priced at £159 per person, cost the same as its Black Friday sale. The sale only includes flights from Heathrow, Gatwick and London City airports, so no regional hubs.

British Airways says "advertised flight and holiday sale fares are discounted from the lowest price available in the 42 days before 17 December 2025". Flights and holidays are dynamically priced based on availability, which means discounts on fares and packages can fluctuate, so if there's a flight you're after, use tools such as Skyscanner and Google Flights to track prices. The January sale does include more long-haul destinations, such as Antigua, St Kitts and Kingston, compared to its Black Friday sale. The airline also has seven-night beach holiday packages to Malaga, Malta, and Mallorca from £299 per person.

Likely to boost? British Airways expanded the scope of its Black Friday sale after Cyber Monday to include economy fares to Europe, so the same could happen in its January sale. Currently, the sale only includes business class fares to Europe.

British Airways has launched its Black Friday deals, with offers on flights and package holidays until 11.59pm on Tuesday 2 December.

Travel dates are between January and March 2026. Until Cyber Monday only long-haul flights from London Gatwick and London Heathrow airports were included in the deal. Destinations include Cancun, Orlando, Tampa, New York, Las Vegas, Miami and Vancouver, among others.

Examples of cheap flights we saw on Monday 1 December:

London Heathrow to Miami – £426 return
London Heathrow to Los Angeles – £388 return

Update: Flights from London Heathrow to destinations across Europe, including Barcelona, Madrid, Milan and Berlin were added into the Black Friday sale on Monday 1 December. One-way flights from £45 per person.

Package holidays to Prague, Nice, Stockholm, and Barcelona included in the Black Friday deal, as are packages to New York, Orlando, Las Vegas and Cancun.

Any other ways to save on flights this Black Friday? Yes, Ryanair is running a 'Cyber Week' sale, Tui and EasyJet have also kicked off their Black Friday sales. More companies are bound to join in on the discounts, so if you miss out on this one, there'll be another round the corner.

Important: Don’t allow yourself to be taken in by the hype around Black Friday and be sucked into buying something you don’t need or can’t afford. Always do your own price comparisons to ensure you are getting the best deal possible.

Avios fluctuate in value depending on what you're spending them on, but assuming the average value of 1p per point, this is a decent kickback of around 15-20%.

Remember, Avios are more limiting than cashback, so before doing this take a look at cashback sites like Topcashback* and Quidco* to see if you can get better value there this Black Friday. After all, it's better to have cash in the pocket rather than loyalty points.

'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
