Household appliance retailer AO.com has regular discounts online via its own website, but you could also save money on white goods and electricals by visiting its official eBay outlet*.

All items are new and include TVs, washing machines, fridges, cookers and dishwashers. Everything is sold with the usual manufacturer's guarantee.

Online retailer AO.com* has discounted hundreds of items for its Black Friday sale. Like in previous years, it launched offers early – beginning on Wednesday 29 October, and it'll last until Tuesday 2 December.

There are currently over 700 items included in the sale, though we reckon more deals will be added throughout November. AO.com has 'Member Prices', which in some cases are cheaper than the Black Friday price, but it costs £39.99 a year to be a member, so it's only worth it if you regularly shop here throughout the year.

AO.com has extended its price match guarantee* against other selected retailers throughout November, for any item purchased between Wednesday 5 November and Tuesday 2 December. Its price promise is normally only valid for seven days after purchase.

Important: Don’t allow yourself to be taken in by the hype around Black Friday and be sucked into buying something you don’t need or can’t afford. Always do your own price comparisons to ensure you are getting the best deal possible – don’t just take a retailer’s word for it.

Last year, there were over 1,400 deals online, including big brands such as Dyson, Ninja, and Samsung. We only spotted a few items that were cheaper at AO (and only slightly), as the majority we saw were either price-matched or cheaper elsewhere.

'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
