I don’t know if it’s true, but if so I want to stand up and applaud the man. My suspicion is it is though – as you’ll see from these two blogs – Michael McIntyre Closet MoneySaver and Mocked on Mock the week – he’s no stranger to MoneySaving issues.
As old time MoneySavers will know, this site once had a high-profile petition asking celebrities not to endorse secured loan adverts; for me, those in the public eye have some responsibility towards their audience.
This is a step further – it was a private gig which he could’ve done without any seeming endorsement – yet he decided a morale-boosting gig for debt collectors wasn’t something he wanted to partake in. If true. Fantastic.
