Tangy Twiglets are coming back!

Twiglets back from the dead!

Twiglets are back from the dead!

For twiglet ignoramuses out there, tangy twiglets were the extremely yummy Worcester sauce version of the morish (usually marmite flavoured) crisp-esque snack. The following email from Fred Forse says it all…

“Hello,

I have recently discovered that Jacobs’ Tangy Twiglets are being re-released, starting this week. Searching the internet, I also noticed that Martin Lewis had written a blog on how much he loves Tangy Twiglets and wishes that they had not been discontinued (http://blog.moneysavingexpert.com/2007/12/10/the-twiglets-company-should-be-ashamed/).

Currently they are being released as a limited edition only, but if sales are high then they may bring them back permanently.

Martin Lewis is in a unique position to draw attention to this, and thereby aid their permanent return. Included below are emails from Jacobs which outline when various supermarket chains take delivery of Tangy Twiglets. Asda should be the first, and I have been told by Asda that they are currently stocking the product, and will soon have it available for online purchase.

Please spread the word.

Cheers, Fred Forse.”

The attachment says…

“These are available now from Asda, they will be available from July 1st at Morrison’s and Waitrose and from 19th September they will be available from Tesco.

Unfortunately I can’t say whether they will be available at your local store as we deliver to the central warehouses of these stores however, if you are unable to find them then please find below the Head Office numbers who should be able to advise.”
