Last night the team from MoneySaving Towers and I went to the Bradford and Bingley sponsored personal finance media awards - the main industry awards for Money Journalism shortlisted by a panel of journalists, industry professionals and commentators.
I’m stunned to say the site won - New Media of the Year. The following is from the initial announcement, and I’m very chuffed when I see who the runner up was.
Personal Finance New Media of the Year:
Moneysavingexpert.com was chosen as the Bradford & Bingley Personal Finance New Media of the Year. The site was commended for its plethora of useful tips and hints and its consumer focussed articles.
BBC Online was awarded runner up and was praised for its interesting news stories presented in a helpful, easy to digest manner.
Afterwards, while I only drank a couple of glasses of champagne, nameless members of the team celebrated in true fashion…. wobbly legs when walking out. Didn’t they Andrea?!
