Forum users will be familiar with the fact Argos/Homebase had a TV on offer for 49p plus delivery (a total of £5.44), which of course was a mistake. It’s unsurprisingly not honouring the bargain, though 10,000 forum users had a go. You can see the original thread here and my views on this thread.
Many people are annoyed, though in my view this is a ‘have a go, nothing ventured nothing gained’ loophole. However tomorrow morning (it is 23.45) I am going to speak to Argos and ask if it will donate one of the TVs to a children’s hospital as a gesture in the name of MoneySavingExpert users…..
